Weymouth Bay held an Eco service on Sunday as part of their aim of becoming an accredited Eco church. 12 volunteers spent the fist part of the service out and about in the streets around the church collecting rubbish, whilst the remaining congregation had a service of favourite hymns and reflections on creation, using prayer stations and a paper chain of prayers (recycled paper of course). Then both groups came together for the last half hour of worship, including a rousing version of the Grace. We aim to hold at least one eco service each quarter, focussing on our stewardship of the earth's resources. Look out for the next one, that Roger Philips will be leading.
